Maximum Visual Quality for SimScenery X

To achieve maximum visual quality for SimScenery X products, it is necessary to customise your Microsoft Flight Simulator X display settings.

Adjust the features highlighted in green below to suit the performance of your system.

Note that all settings provided below are for reference purposes only, you may need to lower some settings to maintain stability and/or improve performance on your system.

"GRAPHICS" Tab

Filtering Anisotropic Improve appearance of all textures
Anti-aliasing Check Minimise jagged lines on 3D objects
Global texture resolution Very high Improve texture quality for 3D objects
Advanced animations Check Enable flags to wave


"SCENERY" Tab

Level of detail radius Large Improve details of textures in the distance
Mesh complexity 100 Improve appearance of terrain mesh
Mesh resolution 19 m Exact match of SimScenery X mesh resolution
Texture resolution 1 m Exact match of SimScenery X texture resolution
Land detail textures Uncheck Remove artificial noise on scenery textures
Scenery complexity Extremely dense Enable all SimScenery X scenery objects
Autogen density Extremely dense Enable all SimScenery X Autogen objects


"TRAFFIC" Tab



Feature Setting Result
Road vehicles (%) 100 Enable all SimScenery X road traffic
Ships and ferries (%) 100 Enable all SimScenery X sea traffic


Additional Settings

If your system can maintain or exceed acceptable FSX frame rates, you may wish to improve visual quality further by customising your graphics card's 3D settings.

Refer to your graphics card's documentation for information.
